Aikalisä tells the story of a young, gifted graffiti artist whose father would want him not to hung out with his artistic friends but to be an ice hockey player instead. The son is not interested about the ice hockey and there are severe communication problems between the two. The son's mother is dead and he misses her dearly. To get on with his life, he looks for approval from his peers yet does not quite know where he belongs.
After a while he feels desperate and goes to to the same bridge where his mother jumped down some years back. He feels sorry that he's unable to fulfill other's expectations for him. Meanwhile his father sees a vision of the mother who asks the father to respect and love the son as who he is. The father asks for the son's forgiveness and at the last minute the two make a peace.
