YAM does this through its network of members across 14 countries, who organise over 25,000 musical workshops and concerts for kids. The platform is behind the annual YAMawards and the YAMsession, a showcase conference for music professionals.

YAMsession is an inspiring international conference and showcase festival for creative professionals working with live music for young audiences. YAMsession takes place in a different country every year and includes showcases of the best young audiences productions from Europe and the world, a dynamic Producers Forum and a wide range of thought provoking presentations and discussions from international speakers. Delegates shall also have the opportunity to enjoy the YAMawards Ceremony, where the world's best music productions for young audiences are crowned.
