    JM International is thrilled to announce the nominees of the YAMawards 2021. 16 Finalists who have each proven that they are some of the most innovative, inspiring, enlightening and entertaining music productions in the world.

    JM International is thrilled to announce the nominees of the YAMawards 2021. 16 Finalists who have each proven that they are some of the most innovative, inspiring, enlightening and entertaining music productions in the world.

    Since 2010, the Young Audiences Music Awards has celebrated excellence in the field of live music experiences for young audiences by identifying and promoting the best musical productions for kids and youth from all around the world. The YAMA nominees 2021 have been chosen from more than 60 incredible submissions from 26 countries.

    2020/21 have naturally been difficult years in the field of young audiences music. Responding to the lack of live music and the rise of everything digital, the YAMawards added a new exciting category in 2021: Best Digital Production for Young Audiences, which aims to celebrate those creators who took to the challenge that the pandemic has presented, creating outstanding artistic works that opened up spaces for young minds whom were in lockdown.

    After intense deliberation, the international YAMawards juries have nominated the following 16 productions:

    BEST SMALL ENSEMBLE

    • The Dream Makers - Akhtamar Quartet (Belgium)
    • Petit concert à l'aube - Van Den Driessche (Belgium)
    • Feledragen - Andreas Ljones (Norway)
    • Strek - Frisse Oren (Netherlands)

    BEST LARGE ENSEMBLE

    DISCONCERTO - Orthemis Orchestra (Spain)

    BEST OPERA (powered by RESEO)

    • Der Kiosk - Junge Oper am Rhein (Germany)
    • HUSH - Henry's dream machine - Zonzo Compagnie (Belgium)
    • Little Miss Matchstick - Holland Opera (Netherlands)
    • O Céu Por Cima de Cá - Compania de Musica Teatral (Portugal)

    BEST DIGITAL

    • Noisy Neighbours - Zonzo Compagnie (Belgium)
    • Elément Terre mon cher Célestin - Floriane Bonanni (France)
    • The Alehouse Sessions - BAROKKSOLISTENE (Denmark/Norway)

    Voting is now open for the Public Choice Award!

    The 16 nominees are now all online and fans are able to vote for their favorite productions at www.yamawards.com. As is tradition, the production with the most votes on the 18th of October at 17:00 CECT will win the YAMA Public Choice Award.

    The Public Choice winner, as well as the winners of the other categories, will be announced at the YAMawards Ceremony that will take place in Larvik, Norway on the 19th of October 2021 during the YAMsession.
